Originally from London and now based in South Bedfordshire, I have been involved with photography since around 1955, starting out with a Kodak Brownie Cresta. A Kodak Retinette 1b followed, then a Pentax SV that served me for some time. An Olympus OM 2 SP was the last 35mm film camera that I bought. I also have two medium format film cameras, a Rolleicord 5b and a Bronica 645. I now shoot with Nikon digital cameras - my main camera is a D810. My trusty D700 and D300 now serve as back up cameras.

I started my digital journey in 2002 with a Nikon Coolpix 885 compact, and progressed to a Nikon D70s. I've now come to terms with computer technology replacing the darkroom.

I love monochrome images. I primarily take photographs for myself, but hope you will like some of them too. If you do, all of the images on the public areas of this site are available for sale, except those in the Portraits portfolio.

I occasionally take on assignments that I can fit in with my other commitments.
